Help Fight Hunger! No One Should Go Without Food

Good Day,

I hope your 2013 is off to a fabulous start. I help volunteer for our local Center Harbor Food Pantry, which since its inception has grown to serve over 20,000 pounds of food to over 300 needy families in the Lakes Region.
The Center Harbor Food pantry is rated as the eighth largest pantry in NH based on the volume of food distributed. The pantry has been staffed by volunteers, operates out of the church basement and relies completely on the generous donations of individuals and businesses for food and financial needs.
While we have helped so many needy families, we are still in serious need of financial donations and food donations so we may continue to fight hunger in the Lakes Region for so many deserving households; while we have been so successful thus far, we still have a long way to go in order to meet our donation needs and financial needs.
I would love an opportunity to partner with you in order to continue this fight against hunger in our own back yard. Anything you or your organization can possibly do will help us reach our goals and ensure no one goes hungry.
Some ideas of how you can help are inclusive of but not limited to:
-Food donations (either new or remaining product/over stock/ sell by items)
-Monetary donations
-Vehicles for families and individuals in need
-Refrigeration and freezer space - we are making due with 8 very old second-hand freezers and 3 very old refrigerators. These were all donated but they are so old they are running up a very high electricity bill each month and we have already lost 2 freezers this past year
-We are in desperate need of a walk in freezer for meats and frozen foods, dairy and produce products. This would save us a lot of money now being spent on electrical bills and would be much more reliable for our needs and production. These would surely enable us to keep the food we get fresh longer and serve more folks with it as a result.
-A better truck as our donation vehicle is in major need of repairs and replacement parts; neither vehicle currently in use to donate product is adequate for the demands being placed upon them and the many trips and heavier pickups we are doing today. Ideally we would love to have a smaller box truck so we may carry more food at one time; especially on the longer trips to the NH Food Bank.
-
If you are able to assist us in any way and join us in helping our community, please be assured 100% of your donations will go towards purchasing and acquiring food to feed the needy in our communities and help with operating expenses so we may continue with this much needed program.
I thank you tremendously for your time and hope that we can speak further regarding how you might consider partnering with us.
Kind Regards.
